永中集成Office2004或称为EIOffice，是由中国Office软件开发商永中科技有限公司发布的最新Office软件。

永中科技有限公司宣布，其最新版本在速度、兼容性及图片处理上有了很大的提高。人民日报也赞同这种说法。此版本为满足政府和商业用户的需求，在文件处理系统方面作出了很大的提高。

日本和美国的用户目前已经可以到永中公司网站（www.evermoresw.com）下载其试用版。三种语言版本的发布表明了中国进军全球软件市场的决心。微软是否应该为此感到担忧呢？也许目前还不会，但至少微软已经感受到了更大的竞争压力了。

Chinese Office software threatens Microsoft's grip

EVERMORE INTEGRATED OFFICE 2004, or EIOffice, is the latest office software release from Chinese developer Evermore Software.

Evermore Software say this latest copy has made great progress in speed, compatibility and graphics, and the People's Daily agrees. The new piece of software is said to have made improvements to its document processing system, to fit the needs of government and business users.

Trial copies are available for download – for Japanese and US users – from today. Their websites can be found here and here. The three-language release proves China's intentions to move into the global software market. Should Microsoft be worried? Not yet, perhaps, but they've at least got some more competition.
